Genetically modified cyborgs are as commonplace as your trusted plastic bag, which in itself was only invented back in the 1960s. Not content with GMOs, humankind has seen the ever speeding pace of innovation, fueled by the rampant capitalism, churn out the craziest of inventions. Companies and startups quickly developped their own ‘products’ and started new industries. And by ‘products’ we are talking about contraptions that are part machines and part ‘life’. We are talking about what some called ‘alive devices’ and others ‘industrial darwinism’. We are talking about ‘BioMechatronics’.
